In 2023 we set out to do something that had never been done – to bring the best of buttons to the best of iPhone.
But, why?
We often get asked if we're trying to relive the early 2000's, or if we just never got over losing our button phones… Not at all.
The truth is, we didn't create Clicks to build a time machine.
Modern smartphones are amazing. Big screens. Loads of apps. Great cameras.
And yet, somewhere in the jump to modern smartphones, the benefits of buttons got thrown out with the bathwater.
After all, we still rely on keyboards every day on our laptops and tablets.
It makes sense, really.
Real buttons just feel better for lots of tasks when satisfying feedback makes it possible to get what's in your head into the real world with speed and accuracy.
Ideas have texture, depth, feeling. And touch screens…well, don't.
So, we brought together the literal dream team to build the best smartphone keyboard.
We tapped into decades of expertise from technology reviewers CrackBerry Kevin and MrMobile, to get a finger thumb on the pulse of modern smartphone customers.
Next we assembled experts from companies like Apple, BlackBerry, Google and Meta to bring together insight into iPhone, keyboard ergonomics and app development.
And we teamed up with mobile tech manufacturing veterans who could bring a quality product to life.
The deeper into Clicks we got, the more we came to see a that a keyboard in 2024 isn't a relic, but a revolution.
As an accessory, a keyboard transforms how we use our phones day to day.
Moving the keyboard off the screen frees up a ton of real estate so you can immerse yourself in your content.
And thanks to the breakthroughs in iOS, you can use Clicks as a remote control to launch Shortcuts at the push of a button that can control your home, take action and open apps.
After over 100 iterations, we launched Clicks in January 2024 and took the world by storm.
Clicks won dozens of awards and was featured on the Today Show, Good Morning America, and even showed up on American Idol.
We sold out the limited Founders Edition within two weeks and announced support for more iPhone models based on overwhelming customer feedback.
The Clicks App added more ways to customize and personalize the keyboard to individual preferences.
And we accomplished all this within the first six months of launching the company.
Why are we sharing all this with you?
Because it's important to you understand we're not trying to build a viral product, or novel gadget.
Our goal is to build great products that enhance the tech we all love.
There are lots of things that just click, and buttons are just the beginning.
